“Maybe it is a lie, maybe Nairi does not exist at all… maybe it is only memory – a fiction, a myth. An eclipse of the brain, a disease of the heart.” Taken from one of Armenia’s most outstanding national writers of the 20th century, Yeghishe Charents’s “Land of Nairi.” Nairi was believed to be the land of Armenia, a Hurrian tribe regarded as the first Proto-Armenians. My visions come from the ancient place of Nairi reflecting my cultural heritage into what is now present day Armenia.
